Following a call for tenders, the National Airports Office (ONDA) selected the Ala Concept firm, led by architect Abdou Lahlou, for the design of the new terminal at Agadir Al Massira airport.

Architect Abdou Lahlou is not his first collaboration with the National Airports Office (ONDA). His firm, Ala Concept, has already left its mark on the installations of Marrakech-Menara airport, and was once again appointed, in November 2023, to design the construction of terminal 3 of the same airport.

The architectural competition for the new terminal at Agadir Al Massira airport attracted the interest of five architectural firms. These are the firms Ala Concept, Atelier E, Errafii Zakaria Architecte, Chaoui El Faiz El Ghali and the Fikri Benabdallah-Rachid Benbrahim El Andaloussi group.

The choice was finally made on the offer from the architect Abdou Lahlou, designated as the most advantageous. Knowing that the project involves a forecast budget of 800 million dirhams, the Ala Concept firm proposed a fee rate of 4.5%, or an amount of approximately 36 million dirhams.

The project includes the construction of a new terminal, the redevelopment of the existing terminal and exterior developments (green spaces, vehicle parking, taxi parking, roads, access road, lighting, fence wall, etc.), as well as the demolition and reconstruction of terminal facilities (administrative and maintenance buildings, catering, control tower, annex buildings, etc.).
