Harrisburg International Airport and Lancaster Airport get funding for infrastructure projects

Pennsylvania Senators Bob Casey and John Fetterman have announced $15.45 million in federal funding for Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) and Lancaster Airport. The money comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Airport Improvement Program. HIA will get about $9.77 million, while Lancaster Airport will receive around $5.68 million.

The funding will be used for specific improvements. HIA plans to expand its apron. Lancaster Airport will use the money to improve its runway.

Since 2021, HIA has received about $48.4 million and Lancaster Airport has received approximately $10.3 million in federal funding.
