This event, attended by Mehrdad Bazrpash, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, and the CEO of the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company, signifies a notable advancement in the region's aviation infrastructure.

Among the developments, the expansion of the domestic terminal is noteworthy, adding 20,000 square meters to its space, resulting in a total area of 57,000 square meters. This expansion, costing 13 trillion rials, aims to enhance service quality for pilgrims and passengers. The city's air travel capacity is expected to significantly increase, with the ability to accommodate 14 million passengers annually.

Another project is an 80,000 square meter apron extension, adding 15 new aircraft parking positions, executed with a budget of 2 trillion rials.

The installation of three passenger bording bridges and the replacement of the old ILS navigation system with a new one, costing 600 billion rials, will improve passenger service quality and ensure safer landings under adverse weather conditions.
