Pinhalzinho Airport should be integrated into the Santa Catarina Airport Plan

Governor Jorginho Mello has directed the Secretariat of Ports, Airports and Railways (SPAF) to incorporate Pinhalzinho Airport into the Santa Catarina Airport Plan (Paesc), raising the total number of airports in the state to 22. He announced an R$8 million (EURO 1,5 million) investment for paving the airport's runway.  

The governor emphasized the strategic importance of Pinhalzinho Airport for regional development, noting the construction of a runway and passenger terminal funded by the state. This move aims to support local business and economic growth by facilitating air transport for businesspeople and residents.

The initiative to build the airport meets a long-standing demand from Pinhalzinho and the surrounding area. With the governor's support, the inclusion process in Paesc has begun, and technical assessments of the site are already underway.
