Private investors seek to finance the new Villavicencio Airport

Private investors have shown interest in financing a new international airport in Villavicencio, Colombia. Governor Rafaela Cortés Zambrano announced that a Colombian linked to an investment fund and a national investor are interested in the project. Sergio Muñoz, manager of the Meta Infrastructure Agency, mentioned progress in the pre-feasibility phase and noted that the project's inclusion in the National Development Plan strengthens its foundation. The private investment would likely lead to a concessioned airport, similar to 16 other national airports. The National Infrastructure Agency's role in structuring the project is crucial to attract investors.
