The concessionaire of Santiago's AMB airport, Nuevo Pudahuel, operated by Aéroports de Paris and French Vinci Airports, has announced plans to expand its existing photovoltaic solar park. The project aims to boost the airport's commitment to sustainable energy.

Currently, the airport features a solar plant situated on the terminal roof (T1), which serves as the first stage of the multi-step project. With the second stage, the project aims to reach a total nominal power of less than 3 MW. The third stage targets a nominal power of about 9 MW.

Once fully operational, the expanded solar park is expected to generate a total of 16,296 MWh of energy. This will cover approximately 32.4% of the airport’s current energy consumption.
