Vigo Airport Runway to reopen after refurbishment

Vigo Airport's runway will reopen to air traffic on Friday, May 31, 2024, following the completion of pavement regeneration works. Final tasks, including painting, electrical checks, and navigation aid calibrations, are being completed this week. A laboratory aircraft has been calibrating electrical systems and the Instrument Landing System (ILS). After four weeks of closure, the runway is ready for use, with further works continuing in areas that do not impact airport operations.
