West Qassim Airport opened and Al-Ahsa Airport expansion announced

The inauguration of the West Qassim Airport and the expansion of Al-Ahsa International Airport in Saudi Arabia are both scheduled for April 24, 2024.

The West Qassim Airport, covering an area of 17.6 million square meters, is backed by the Emirate of Qassim Province and a community initiative from the Al-Rass Chamber. The project, initiated in 2019 and begun in 2020, will be managed by the Saudi Aviation Club. It will offer services for aviation sports, including gliding and parachuting, and feature a pioneering center for remote aircraft control.

Al-Ahsa International Airport's expansion will be led by Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, aiming to enhance its capacity and services.
